After getting into the flow of things at the Georgetown Carnival last weekend, here are a few more photos that spring to mind when I think of the word ‘flow’. First, the flow of the mighty Mississippi – this was my very first view of that majestic river, with my nose pressed up against a train window.
The gentle, blush flow of the Coral Pink Sand Dunes in Utah, shortly before a massive thunderstorm unleashed its fury during monsoon season.
The flow of marching bands along Fifth Avenue during the New York St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
The thundering flow of water over Niagara’s Horseshoe Falls.
The steady flow of pedestrians over Dublin‘s Ha’penny Bridge.
Now it’s time to open up the flood gates and let your creativity flow. If you would like to join in this week’s travel theme (everyone’s welcome!) here’s what to do:
- Create your own post and title it Travel theme: Flow
- Include a link to this page in your post so others can find it too
- Get your post in by next Thursday, as the new travel theme comes out on Friday
- Don’t forget to subscribe to keep up to date on the latest weekly travel themes. Sign up via the email subscription link in the sidebar or RSS – if you’re already following on WordPress.com, remember I’m getting ready to switch website hosts so sign up for email or RSS to keep up to date on posts.
I’m looking forward to seeing your interpretation of this week’s theme!

Mine’s a little unorthodox by comparison … and I sure do love your pics more, but this one just tickels the hell out of my funny bone. Thanx for the challenge!

Love that first shot and knowing it was taken from a train window somehow makes it even more enjoyable – context I suppose.

Great photos: I particularly love the gorgeous shot of the Mississippi. Here’s my take on the theme; a much gentler, more controlled water flow. http://zimmerbitch.wordpress.com/2013/06/16/travel-theme-flow/

Okay, you convinced me to dip my toe back into the travel theme thing again. It was the picture of one of my favorite places, the wonderful Coral Pink!
