After getting into the flow of things at the Georgetown Carnival last weekend, here are a few more photos that spring to mind when I think of the word ‘flow’. First, the flow of the mighty Mississippi – this was my very first view of that majestic river, with my nose pressed up against a train window.
The gentle, blush flow of the Coral Pink Sand Dunes in Utah, shortly before a massive thunderstorm unleashed its fury during monsoon season.
The flow of marching bands along Fifth Avenue during the New York St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
The thundering flow of water over Niagara’s Horseshoe Falls.
The steady flow of pedestrians over Dublin‘s Ha’penny Bridge.
Now it’s time to open up the flood gates and let your creativity flow. If you would like to join in this week’s travel theme (everyone’s welcome!) here’s what to do:
- Create your own post and title it Travel theme: Flow
- Include a link to this page in your post so others can find it too
- Get your post in by next Thursday, as the new travel theme comes out on Friday

Interesting choice Ailsa! Looking forward to seeing what people come up with! Like your shots!
It can be interpreted so many ways, I’m looking forward to all the variations! 🙂

That’s a lot of angles on the theme I wouldn’t have expected or thought of. Nice ideas.
Still, I stuck with the basic, sunset on a river cruise around Ayutthaya.

It’s funny, Ben, sometimes the places closest to us are the ones we visit last. Lovely shot, and I’m very glad that car accident didn’t prevent you from checking out this lovely part of the world.

I know that my post doesn’t really apply to this week’s travel theme but I believe it’s worth sharing. So, here’s my entry: http://goomfh.wordpress.com/2013/06/14/travel-theme-flow/ 🙂
It fits perfectly with the theme, and boy, that looks a little scary, especially with kids in the car with you. Those flash floods can be treacherous. xxx
I’m so happy I’m with the theme. Driving through this flood, was one of the scariest experiences in my life, just because of the kids. 😉

Hi Ailsa, wonderful photos for this theme! Here’s my entry http://momentsinyourlife.wordpress.com/2013/06/14/travel-theme-flow/
What a beautiful picture, Angie, the colours are fabulous and you’ve captured not only the flow of people but the flow of their garments too, love it. xxx
Thanks, Ailsa! I always look forward to your travel theme because you always give something that I can really join in. 🙂

This was an interesting theme. I LOVE your waterfall photo! Here are my picks:

Oh wow, these are gorgeous, and all so different, I kept deciding the one I was looking at was my favourite, until I scrolled down and saw the next one. I can’t decide, they’re all fab! 🙂
Mrs Carmichael has gone with the appropriately obvious take on the theme today.

Very cool, Mrs C, I had no idea NZ relied so heavily on hydroelectricity. I love the idea of waterfalls hiding taniwha (thanks for teaching me a new word!) 🙂
I’m always up for a new word ( or a caravan mall).

I enjoyed your photos. The one from Utah is spectacular.
Thanks Laurie, it’s hard to take a bad photo in Utah, the place is crammed full of the most stunning scenery I’ve ever seen! 🙂
In love with your Coral Pink Sand Dunes, Ailsa!
And here I am – going with the flow: http://esengasvoice.wordpress.com/2013/06/14/travel-theme-flow/
Great shots, Ese – your header photo also fits the theme perfectly, the flow of sands across the desert. Where was that shot taken? It looks so wonderfully mysterious. 🙂
Stunning shots and theme as usual Ailsa. Thanks for sharing hon. 😀 *hugs*

Wonderful photos, really very well captured… 🙂
Thanks Drake, I love your interpretation, especially the bumper to bumper traffic. Where was that taken – so I can avoid that road in my future travels 😉
Thanks, really glad you like it… 🙂
It’s from a german “autobahn” in Ruhr… 🙂
They flow beautifully, Ailsa. I love them, especially the first two. 🙂
Swimming in beauty here. Flows nicely!
