Yikes, I got busy and was very nearly late getting my weekly travel theme up in time, so the theme this week sort of picked itself. Here are a few shots that conjure up for me the term late, starting with a shot of the supermoon a day too late in New York – the day of the supermoon a fog came down and the supermoon turned into a foggy glow instead.
I’m not sure why these sheep were running but it looks like they were late for something.
The gravestone of the late, mysterious, beloved Mary, all the way from Ireland, found overlooking the prairies of Whidbey Island.
So if it’s not too late in your part of the world, maybe you’d like to create your own interpretation of this week’s theme. If you would like to join in (everyone’s welcome!) here’s what to do:
- Create your own post and title it Travel theme: Late
- Include a link to this page in your post so others can find it too
- Get your post in by next Thursday, as the new travel theme comes out on Friday
- Don’t forget to subscribe to keep up to date on the latest weekly travel themes. Sign up via the email subscription link in the sidebar or RSS.

It’s never too late to be what you might have been. – George Eliot
Too late for fruit, too soon for flowers. – Walter de la Mare
Too late, she cried… the damage is done! 😈
Haha, never too late, AJ, never too late. 😉
Yep… my post will go live just after midnight… late but not too late! 😉
Fashionably late perhaps? 🙂
Mmmm… maybe… mind you, it could be because some lady I know set the challenge a tad late!

Oh so cool, I love astral photography, that last one with the house all lit up is all kinds of magical. xxx
Oh, neat….now I need to get thinking! Stuck indoors with a nasty cold, so need to trawl the archives…..
Aw boo, hope you feel better soon, Sue. xxx Ailsa
Thanks, Ailsa! Much appreciated – I’m just off for a siesta now….
I really like your selection of “things” that are late. My favorite is the gravestone – but the sheep are the funniest 🙂 They really look like they are late for a meeting!
They were flying along at a fair pace, Sonia, it was very funny to watch. 🙂
Ah I love the sheep picture, that’s really cute 🙂
They certainly gave me a giggle, Caroline. 🙂

A spooky moon, but the sheep -oh Ailsa- those sheep, I can almost hear them thinking ‘Late, late, late, late’, and nothing else haha. 😀
Here’s my take on the theme:

Great galery – and I simply adore those sheep! I’m rather ordinary today, making late literally late

Ha, you may have been late but not as late as I thought you were. I updated my bookmarks but inadvertently saved last week’s challenge instead of your home page. I kept checking but it looked like you hadn’t posted this week’s challenge. Luckily I realised what I’d done or not only would I have been late, I would have missed this week’s all together.
I like all your pics but I love the moon shot most. Here’s my late post: https://jennysotherstuff.wordpress.com/2016/03/20/too-late-mum/
Fabulous!
