Hot on the heels of February’s Snowdrop Festival, spring has burst out all over the place in a riot of colour.
Inspired by nature’s flurry of creativity, I thought it’d be interesting to celebrate other kinds of creativity, starting with this very creative entry into the annual Power Tool Drag Races in Seattle’s Georgetown.
A flirty Italian barista gets creative with his coffee art in Rome on Valentine’s Day.
Creating a sweater from wool hot off the sheep at the Sheep Olympics in Wexford, Ireland.
Art for art’s sake at the Beltane Festival on the Hill of Uisneach.
Humans were born to be creative, as demonstrated by the ancient peoples of Mesa Verde who decorated their cliff dwellings with petroglyphs.

It is good taste, and good taste alone, that possesses the power to sterilize, and is always the first handicap to any creative functioning. – Salvador Dali
Great theme! Thank you! I was very impressed by the creativity of African people, which I found in the Africa-Museum near Nijmmegen in The Netherlands. so this is my contribution: http://bambooblog.de/2015/12/21/ich-war-in-afrika/
Very cool, Ulrike, I love the face that’s in profile with the spiky hair 🙂

Wow, gorgeous photos! I also have a traveling bug of my own. In a few months we are going to Sweden to celebrate Midsummer’s Eve. It’s good for people to go out and see the world. It’s good that you are seeing so much. If only more people felt inclined to venture into the unknowns.
