I took far too many photos of those cheeky little ducklings during my visit to Magnuson Park, so I had to put them to good use in this week’s travel theme. Here are a few of the ripples they made, along with some other memorable ripples I’ve encountered.
The ripples of the earth – the red rocks of Zion Canyon in Utah.
The rippling lights of the Multiverse installation in Washington DC.
Ripples of laughter and ripples of colour during the Holi Festival of Colour.
Are you ready to make waves? If you would like to join in this week’s travel theme (everyone’s welcome!) here’s what to do:
- Create your own post and title it Travel theme: Ripples
- Include a link to this page in your post so others can find it too
- Get your post in by next Thursday, as the new travel theme comes out on Friday
- Don’t forget to subscribe to keep up to date on the latest weekly travel themes. Sign up via the email subscription link in the sidebar or RSS – if you’re already following on WordPress.com, remember I’m getting ready to switch website hosts so sign up for email or RSS to keep up to date on posts.

Ailsa, your photos as always are second to none. Thank you for posting. Also thank you for providing me with the inspiration for a new menu section of my blog. I will be promoting a great deal using the words the “Ripple Effect.” I had no idea how to start this article. The sensitivity of the material contained within left me grasping for breath. Your travel theme gave it life.
It is regretable that I cannot title it as a travel theme, and regretable that I cannot cite you in this one. The article, “Fundacion Proyecto Ayuda Al Niño – Casa de Luz,” needs to be of the utmost integrity. It is my hope that you and your readers will read this piece and share it through whatever means. There will be many more along these same lines. Again, thank you for the inspiration.
I look forward to next week’s theme to once again participate as normal.

Lovely theme this week and when I found some images in my sons GoPro today after a trip to the beach with his friend, I felt they were apt. Of course I was very proud to see what my 15 year-old had captured… http://jennhammerphotography.wordpress.com/2013/06/23/a-boy-and-his-camera-the-results/
Laughter and colors, a happy photo, Ailsa. Thank you 🙂
