I took far too many photos of those cheeky little ducklings during my visit to Magnuson Park, so I had to put them to good use in this week’s travel theme. Here are a few of the ripples they made, along with some other memorable ripples I’ve encountered.
The ripples of the earth – the red rocks of Zion Canyon in Utah.
The rippling lights of the Multiverse installation in Washington DC.
Ripples of laughter and ripples of colour during the Holi Festival of Colour.
Are you ready to make waves? If you would like to join in this week’s travel theme (everyone’s welcome!) here’s what to do:

great photos. I look at the Utah ripples and I can make giant mountains or microscopic waves in my mind. No size perspective.
Those red ripples were stunning, Mark (and they were really big too!) 🙂
WONDERFUL PHOTOS! Here is my entry. http://wp.me/p23TG1-2RN
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
Gorgeous, Francine – the flamingo and that great old riverboat are my favourites! 🙂

Ahh, I just knew you’d have some brilliant ones, Vlad. That second one looks like a little slice of paradise. 🙂

Nice one for the first day of summer. After some toggles of ripple wine I could swear I see the rock ripple moving. . .
I took the lazy way out and simply looked out the window. . . http://loganbruin.wordpress.com/2013/06/21/travel-theme-ripples/
There’s nothing like wine to get those ripples moving, Logan 🙂 So when you looked out your window, what did you see? I’m trying to figure out that first one, is it a glass?
Same fountain as the other shot, as well as the duck. ;o)
Haha excellent, Logan. I can see it now.
Those rock ripples are stunning, Ailsa. Though cute-as ducklings making ripples … that’s another thing 🙂
Those ducklings were adorable, I couldn’t just leave them hanging out in my photo files so they were instrumental in my choice of theme this week 🙂

Lovely, Ese, where was that waterfall in the bottom shot? xxx
Thank you, Ailsa. That one was found in Norway. 🙂

Lovely shot, I haven’t visited Cologne in oh, so long, but it’s good to see those spires in the distance! 🙂
It was my first visit (only last week) but hopefully the first of many more.
I’ll have a twist for you tomorrow morning… fun! 😉
Woohoo, looking forward to it, AJ 🙂

Here’s some ripples for you… 🙂 http://beyondpaisley.net/2013/06/21/travel-theme-ripple/
Haha, you just sent me down a path exploring Ripple wine – I’d never heard of it before – I think I might have tried it just because of the marketing slogan – “the wine that winks back at you” 🙂 I love your hooded merganser and the amber, but the snowy Mazeppa woods are my favourite – I’m a sucker for snow. 🙂
Ack! Stay away from the Ripple! Your innards will thank you for it. 😉
