Travel theme: Flow

After getting into the flow of things at the Georgetown Carnival last weekend, here are a few more photos that spring to mind when I think of the word ‘flow’. First, the flow of the mighty Mississippi – this was my very first view of that majestic river, with my nose pressed up against a train window.

The gentle, blush flow of the Coral Pink Sand Dunes in Utah, shortly before a massive thunderstorm unleashed its fury during monsoon season.

The flow of marching bands along Fifth Avenue during the New York St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

The thundering flow of water over Niagara’s Horseshoe Falls.

The steady flow of pedestrians over Dublin‘s Ha’penny Bridge.

About ailsapm

Hi there! I’m Ailsa Prideaux-Mooney. I’ve lived in many places, and travelled to many more. I had a lot of fun getting there and being there, wherever there happened to be at the time. I climbed a castle wall in Czesky Krumlov, abseiled down cliffs to go caving in the west of Ireland, slept on the beach in Paros, got chased by a swarm of bees in Vourvourou (ok that wasn’t fun, but it was exciting), learned flower arranging in Tokyo, found myself in the middle of a riot in Seoul, learned to snowboard in Salzburg, got lost in a labyrinth in Budapest and had my ice cream stolen by a gull in Cornwall. And I’m just getting started. If you’ve enjoyed what you’ve read so far, I’d love you to follow my travelogue - wheresmybackpack.com - and remember, anyone who tries to tell you it’s a small world hasn’t tried to see it all.

  4. Cool interpretations of Flow! I like the last photo the most, because I wouldn’t think of that. I quite like the expressions on the peoples faces.

  9. Love this theme…hard choice,though 🙂
I decide for a recent picture taken last week during my cross country trek in the Spanish Pyrenees – a wonderful region of high mountain ranges.

Wow, the waterfall is quite surreal! Love the colors.
Thanks for the topic 🙂 We’re just getting into the flow of things ourselves; sorry to miss your deadline by a few hours, but we were busy kayaking in the S.C. lowcountry…
