Travel theme: Ripples

I took far too many photos of those cheeky little ducklings during my visit to Magnuson Park, so I had to put them to good use in this week’s travel theme. Here are a few of the ripples they made, along with some other memorable ripples I’ve encountered.

About ailsapm

Hi there! I’m Ailsa Prideaux-Mooney. I’ve lived in many places, and travelled to many more. I had a lot of fun getting there and being there, wherever there happened to be at the time. I climbed a castle wall in Czesky Krumlov, abseiled down cliffs to go caving in the west of Ireland, slept on the beach in Paros, got chased by a swarm of bees in Vourvourou (ok that wasn’t fun, but it was exciting), learned flower arranging in Tokyo, found myself in the middle of a riot in Seoul, learned to snowboard in Salzburg, got lost in a labyrinth in Budapest and had my ice cream stolen by a gull in Cornwall. And I’m just getting started. If you’ve enjoyed what you’ve read so far, I’d love you to follow my travelogue - wheresmybackpack.com - and remember, anyone who tries to tell you it’s a small world hasn’t tried to see it all.

great photos. I look at the Utah ripples and I can make giant mountains or microscopic waves in my mind. No size perspective.

Nice one for the first day of summer. After some toggles of ripple wine I could swear I see the rock ripple moving. . .
I took the lazy way out and simply looked out the window. . . http://loganbruin.wordpress.com/2013/06/21/travel-theme-ripples/

  8. Those rock ripples are stunning, Ailsa. Though cute-as ducklings making ripples … that’s another thing 🙂

Those ducklings were adorable, I couldn’t just leave them hanging out in my photo files so they were instrumental in my choice of theme this week 🙂

Haha, you just sent me down a path exploring Ripple wine – I’d never heard of it before – I think I might have tried it just because of the marketing slogan – “the wine that winks back at you” 🙂 I love your hooded merganser and the amber, but the snowy Mazeppa woods are my favourite – I’m a sucker for snow. 🙂
