It seems like everywhere I’ve gone this weekend there has been snooker on the television, so I have escaped the click of the cue ball to find some related travel shots instead, starting off with balls of hand-dyed wool, Viking-style, from the Brian Boru Festival in Killaloe.
A snazzy mirror ball water feature at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
Big shiny Christmas balls. Or baubles. On the giant Christmas tree at Westlake Center in Seattle.
But of course, New York has to do everything bigger.
A very Irish scarecrow celebrating the nation’s favourite game.
A sculpture for the festival of Beltaine on the Hill of Uisneach.
If you’re not too busy watching snooker, and would like to join in this week’s travel theme (everyone’s welcome!) here’s what to do:
- Create your own post and title it Travel theme: Balls
- Include a link to this page in your post so others can find it too
- Watch out for the next travel theme which will come out next weekend
