I took a photo this morning of some squash I picked from the garden…
…and it gave me the inspiration for this week’s travel theme, so here are some more travel photos in the primary colours of red, blue and yellow, starting off with some very red stairs in Seattle’s central library.
The red rocks of Utah in Zion National Park.
A vibrant red cardinal in a snowy Central Park.
Blue arches adorn a London street at Christmastime.
Funky blue trees with an ecological message in downtown Seattle.
The soft, dreamy blues of Kailua Bay in Hawaii.
Back in Seattle’s Central Library for a burst of yellow (seriously, if you’re in Seattle, make a point of visiting, it’s an incredible building).
Yellow painted eggs decorate a May tree to celebrate Beltane in Ireland.
A host of golden daffodils trying to muscle in on Skagit Valley’s Tulip Festival.

I’ll leave you with a photo that contains all three primary colours in two rather fabulous parrots I spotted in Guatemala.
If one says ‘red’ – the name of color – and there are fifty people listening, it can be expected that there will be fifty reds in their minds. And one can be sure that all these reds will be very different. – Josef Albers
If you see a tree as blue, then make it blue. – Paul Gauguin
How lovely yellow is! It stands for the sun. – Vincent van Gogh
