I feel like a character out of Wuthering Heights right now, having just returned from a blustery, windswept walk with gusts that threatened to knock me off my feet and squalls that have left my hair looking, umm, rather more distressed than usual. As I’ve been struggling to get a comb through my tangled locks, I’ve been leafing through my photos to see if any of them could offer up a depiction of winds, gales, breezes and flurries of air. First up, Coney Island in the off-season, biting winds driving carpets of sand across the beach and out to sea.
Kite Hill in Seattle is just about the best place to be on a windy day.
