Strolling along the Irish Sea this evening I was awed by a fierce sunset that made everything glow – I felt like I was walking on Mars.
Here are a few other fiery images I’ve taken on my travels, starting with a fire eater in Guatemala.
New Year’s fireworks at Seattle’s Space Needle.
Ancient Irish fire festival celebrating Beltaine on the Hill of Uisneach.
Goblet being crafted at the Tacoma Museum of Glass.
Fiery spices at a bazaar in Turkey.

Love your fiery images, Ailsa. The first one is amazing. 🙂
I couldn’t believe how beautiful it all looked bathed in that sunset. 🙂
Thank you for sharing your beautiful images.
Thanks Gina, glad you liked them. 🙂

The spices! Oh I’d love to taste them all. The Beltaine photo, the sea. You are one fiery girl, Ailsa! * warm hugs*

Great theme. I love the shades of orange and red that are often associated with fiery. Love the first photo, just magical.

That Turkish bazaar is really cool. There used to be wars fought over such spices. It’s good that they’re all just out now, ready for purchase.
Love the glass firing process and the Irish fire festival. All of the pictures are really cool.
This makes me regret not visiting your site as often as I should. It’s hard with the baby to establish a routine. But right now, at 3 in the morning when she refuses to sleep, it affords me the opportunity to visit one of my favorite visual artists. Thank you as always for sharing your talent.
