Faces are endlessly fascinating to photograph, and almost every photograph I’ve taken of a face has surprised me in some unexpected way. Here are a few of the faces I’ve encountered on my travels. First up some festive faces from Holi…
…. Winterval in Waterford…
…and an ancient goddess on the Hill of Uisneach.
The mythological face of Snoqual…
…a huge mural of Ingrid Bergman in an open air movie theater in Fremont…
…and the iconic face of the clock in Grand Central.
Are you ready to face up to this week’s challenge? If you would like to join in (everyone’s welcome!) here’s what to do:

Great subject – faces have a lot to offer. Love that first pic if the girl. https://regionalcognisance.wordpress.com/
A rocking series of faces there, really lovely – that panda is too cool for school 🙂 I know what you mean about it being tricky to get a shot that’s not either posed or embarrassed, but when you manage to capture a fleeting moment when the subject is totally present, it can be quite magical. And thanks, that first photo is one of my favourites, her eyes were mesmerizing. xxx

Enjoy and a peaceful weekend!
Great series of shots, Majka, that fireman is seriously scary! 🙂 Yes, I wish you a peaceful weekend too. In light of the horrific events in Paris, peace is something this world is running very low on. Sending love and light and wishes for peace around this little planet of ours. xxx
Thanks Ailsa! May God continue to protect all of us! Blessings!
