Fresh from revelling in the bounty of Ireland’s autumnal hedgerows, I decided to take a look at some other bountiful moments on my travels.
Soft swaying fronds of sugar cane fields in Guatemala promised a bumper crop and bountiful harvest.
Tulips were bountiful in Skagit Valley…
…as were the wads of chewing gum stuck on the Gum Wall in Seattle’s Pike Place Market.

Every moment of your life is infinitely creative and the universe is endlessly bountiful. Just put forth a clear enough request, and everything your heart desires must come to you. – Mahatma Gandhi
Take rest; a field that has rested gives a bountiful crop. – Ovid
AaaaHH!! That last pick sort of turns my gut a tad!! Imagine the smell off that lot on a warm day!! 😉
Haha, I had to throw that last one in, AJ, just to give the post a little bit of a gritty urban edge! xxx
😉 Gritty, urban and rather too colourful for my queezy tum-tum!! 😛

A fun theme you’ve got this week. That photo in the middle is beautiful with its contrast of colors. That gum wall on the other hand is a bit distubing up close.
Here’s my entry for the week.

What a cool photo, Ben, I wonder what all those jars were for? They look pretty ancient.
See – naps are good!
(Remember trudging down sugar cane rows in East Texas as a kid and how towering the stalks were…as high as an elephant’s eye – really. So I never saw the plumes. But it was very cool being so little among so tall.)
Sounds like it was an awfully big adventure for a little philosopher mouse!

Ah, the fields of tulips are absolutely stunning, Ailsa, but that amount of chewing gum can’ t be ignored either… 🙂
Here’ s what I came up with this time: http://esengasvoice.wordpress.com/2014/10/03/travel-theme-bountiful/
Haha, it’s definitely impossible to ignore that chewing gum, Ese. Love your post, that field of poppies looks like a painting, so beautiful. xxx
Gum wall. That’s awesome
It’s a pretty colourful sight, Lisa, if you can get past the yuck factor. 🙂

Oh Diane, those pumpkins are fabulous, I just love seeing a big burst of orange around this time of year. And I love those vines too, lovely photos. xxx Ailsa
THanks! It’s my favourite time of year! So much colour!

That gum wall is amazing, Ailsa! I have never seen such a thing, except underneath the tables at our university. 😉 Great images, colorful and, yes, bountiful.
Here are mine: http://drieskewrites.wordpress.com/2014/10/03/travel-theme-bountiful/
Haha, your university tables sound scary, Marion! Love your photos, especially that blossom-drenched bougainvillea. xxx
There was plenty here during my last trip: http://chava61.wordpress.com/2014/10/03/travel-theme-bountiful/
Mmmm, that looks like quite a feast! 🙂

Love it, that shot of the lady with her orange is stunning! xxx Ailsa
Thanks. I watched her cross the road, and when she sat down, I took out my telephoto so as not to disturb her and took the shot. A great memory of a moment in Lesotho.
By the way, that Gum Wall is both amazing and icchy! (However you spell it!) Thanks for these great examples!
Oh yes, that gum wall is equal parts gross and intriguing! 🙂
I’ve been away for a few weeks and have missed going through my travel photos. I wonder what I’ll find for this one. I can’t quite bring myself to “like” that gum wall but it’s pretty amazing.
Welcome back! 🙂

Ooh, I love farmer’s markets, so much to see, taste and of course, photograph! Those tartlets at the end look yummy! 🙂
G’day Ailsa, those tarts were very yummy, hard to chose which one or two to buy…
Great photos, but not sure about the chewing gum. 😀
Haha I know, too much of a good thing! 😉

Thaks Ailsa. If only Kerala was a little closer, I would love to go back there.

PS. Not sure what just happened. I borrowed a friend’s laptop to do my post today (s296). Despite the fact I was clearly logged in as me to create my post, it bizarrely posted my above comment as coming from s296. No idea how that works, but if you could remove said comment (and this little explanation), that would be great! Your pal, Jaspa!
