My sister-in-law Roya texted me last weekend because The Bite of Seattle was taking place at Seattle Center – which meant it was time to go in search of frozen cheesecake on a stick. I had heard stories of this chilly concoction ever since Roya first discovered it, but had never had the chance to try it for myself. How could I resist its icy, chocolate-covered, nutty, sprinkled sweetness?
But sweet can be so much more. How about the silvery tinkle of a harp being played on a busy Dublin street?
Or the intoxicating fragrance of honeysuckle on a hot New York summer’s day?
So indulge your sweet tooth and join in this week’s travel theme (everyone’s welcome!) Here’s what to do:
- Create your own post and title it Travel theme: Sweet
- Include a link to this page in your post so others can find it too
- Get your post in by next Thursday, as the new travel theme comes out on Friday
- Don’t forget to subscribe to keep up to date on the latest weekly travel themes. Sign up via the email subscription link in the sidebar or RSS – I’m in the process of changing over to a new website host but will give you all a heads up when the changeover happens. If you’re following via email there won’t be a change but if you’re following via WordPress you will need to sign up for email or RSS.
Whisper a sweet nothing and send it my way.
xxx Ailsa
