Seeing as I’ve just written about crossing the Golden Gate Bridge on my road trip, I thought I’d have a look at some other bridges I’ve encountered on my travels. From my hometown, here is Dublin‘s Beckett Bridge.
Just north of New York City on the Hudson Line is the legendary Sleepy Hollow, home to spooky graveyards and the Headless Horseman Bridge.
A rosy sunset over a bridge along Philadephia‘s Schuylkill River, on the way to 30th Street Station.
Are you ready to cross the bridge when you come to it? If you would like to join in the travel theme (everyone’s welcome!) here’s what to do:
- Create your own post and title it Travel theme: Bridges
- Include a link to this page in your post so others can find it too
- Get your post in by next Thursday, as the new travel theme comes out on Friday
- Don’t forget to subscribe to keep up to date on the latest weekly travel themes. Sign up via the email subscription link in the sidebar or RSS.
Looking forward to your post – remember, a bridge too far might just be worth the effort.

I have been thinking a lot about your theme of Bridges and trawled through all my photos but was inspired today to take photos of the bridges of Salford Quays in Manchester Uk.

The wooden bridge photo is great! Thanks for visiting my blog too.
Thanks Kim 🙂
Check out The Millau Viaduct here in the south of France. I do believe it is the largest suspension bridge. I hadn’t heard of it when I moved her and discovered it as I drove across it the first time. It is stunning!
