I’ve been cooking up a storm here and am using it as inspiration for this week’s travel theme. Here are a few cookery-related travel shots, starting off with Manhattan’s mighty Halal Guys at 53rd and 6th, hands down the best food cart in town, perfect for late night munchies.
Cooking Viking-style, at the Brian Ború festival in Killaloe.
Cooking demo at the Chinese New Year celebrations in Dublin.
Some pretty hysterical cooking sauces from Montana Redneck Sauce Company. Respect.
Camping at Mount St. Helens with a leaky tent and a campfire that wouldn’t light. No cooking for us that night.
Oh Italy, let me count the ways I love you. Pizza by the yard.
Are you ready to cook up a post for this week’s travel theme? If you would like to join in (everyone’s welcome!) here’s what to do:
- Create your own post and title it Travel theme: Cook
- Include a link to this page in your post so others can find it too
- Watch out for the next travel theme which will come out next weekend

Yum-yum! I’ll have to do the South African version for you! Steak of fish? Maybe lamb? What would you prefer?? 😉
