Dazzling is one of those fabulous words that smacks of magic with all those zzs nudging up against that initial d. It’s such a lovely word to speak aloud, and a fun theme to try to find photos for – here’s what I came up with. First off, one of my favourite ways to be dazzled – with a great big firework display; this one taken from a Manhattan rooftop during Fleet Week. Hello sailors.
It’s hard to resist the allure of a vintage car, complete with eye-dazzling shine, like these beauties at a vintage car picnic at Powerscourt in Wicklow.
Two words. Vegas, baby.
Next time you’re passing through Grand Central, take a moment to look up and check out the dazzling chandeliers on display.
Are you ready to give ’em the old razzle-dazzle with your own version of this week’s theme? If you would like to join in (everyone’s welcome!) here’s what to do:
- Create your own post and title it Travel theme: Dazzling

Give me the splendid silent sun, with all his beams full-dazzling. – Walt Whitman
Each morning my characters greet me with misty faces willing, though chilled, to muster for another day’s progress through the dazzling quicksand the marsh of blank paper. – John Updike
Gorgeous dazzling images, Ailsa. 🙂
