I’ve seen some fascinating sculptures in Seattle recently, from the striking pieces at the Olympic Sculpture Park…
… to living sculptures at Pike Place Market…
..and that concrete sofa I wrote about earlier at Ballard Corners Park, but my favourite sculptures come from the natural world, like the windows in Arches National Park, sculpted by wind…
…and the winding Snake River Canyon, sculpted by water…
..and the volcanoes surrounding Lake Atitlán, sculpted by fire.
Are you ready to sculpt a post of your own? If you would like to join in this week’s travel theme (everyone’s welcome!) here’s what to do:
- Create your own post and title it Travel theme: Sculpture
- Include a link to this page in your post so others can find it too
- Get your post in by next Thursday, as the new travel theme comes out on Friday

Sign up via the email subscription link in the sidebar or RSS – if you’re already following on WordPress.com, remember I’m getting ready to switch website hosts so sign up for email or RSS to keep up to date on posts.
I’m looking forward to seeing your interpretation of this week’s theme.

Great photo theme for this week. My sculptures are all made out of wood by the same artist from Idyllwild, California. They reflect nature around us and are just beautiful.
