Travel theme: Couples

Watching the sun set along the Oregon Coast I saw a couple walking hand in hand along the beach.

A little later, watching the same sun set a few miles further along the coast, I watched a couple of children walk along the shore, the little boy reaching for the girl’s hand.

It seemed to be the perfect theme for this week, so I went rummaging through my photos for other couples I have photographed. Here’s what I came up with:

Now over to you. If you’d like to join in this week’s travel theme, here’s what to do:

  • Create your own post featuring couples and title it Travel Theme: Couples
  • Include a link to this page in your post so others can find it too
  • Get your post in by next Thursday, as the new travel theme comes out on Friday
  • Don’t forget to subscribe to keep up to date on the latest weekly travel themes

I can’t wait to see your daring duos, your perfect pairs and your terrible twins.

About ailsapm

Hi there! I’m Ailsa Prideaux-Mooney. I’ve lived in many places, and travelled to many more. I had a lot of fun getting there and being there, wherever there happened to be at the time. I climbed a castle wall in Czesky Krumlov, abseiled down cliffs to go caving in the west of Ireland, slept on the beach in Paros, got chased by a swarm of bees in Vourvourou (ok that wasn’t fun, but it was exciting), learned flower arranging in Tokyo, found myself in the middle of a riot in Seoul, learned to snowboard in Salzburg, got lost in a labyrinth in Budapest and had my ice cream stolen by a gull in Cornwall. And I’m just getting started. If you’ve enjoyed what you’ve read so far, I’d love you to follow my travelogue - - and remember, anyone who tries to tell you it’s a small world hasn’t tried to see it all.

Hi Sueann, I love that photo from Nepal, what a spectacular country! And as for those turtles, oh my, they are getting rather friendly, aren’t they? 🙂

Haha, excellent, Robert. I’ve always admired how these two have maintained their individuality despite the obvious closeness of their relationship.

I had originally picked this photo for this week’s Photo Challenge of “Silhouette”, but a fellow blogger told me there was a weekly travel theme of “couples”, which is also appropriate, so I am sharing this here as well. I guess you could say this is more like a duo than a couple, but even so.

Love your less traditional couples. Is that last one from the NYC subways? I think they may hang out on 14th Street? Gorgeous pictures!
