Waiting for a friend earlier, I found myself absent-mindedly leafing through a pile of glossy magazines strewn along the windowsill of a cosy little coffee shop. The lustre of those smooth, shiny pages gave me the inspiration for this week’s travel theme. First up, the classy, glossy finish of a vintage car and its hood ornament at a rally at the Powerscourt Estate in Wicklow.
Outdoor art, polished to perfection in Seattle‘s Olympic Sculpture Park.
Old-fashioned glossy splendour in Grand Central Terminal, the iconic clock under which countless couples have stolen kisses through the years.
From old-fashioned glamour to modern-day glitz, a dazzling fountain in the lobby of the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
