Travel theme: Paths

It’s time for me to lead you down the garden path with another travel theme. This week I’m looking at paths of all kinds that I’ve encountered on my journeys, like this wooden boardwalk in Glendalough.

glendalough, spinc, spinc trail. blue trail, hiking, wicklow mountains, wicklow national park, wicklow, ireland, travel, travelogue, ailsa prideaux-mooney

A tantalizing folly entices you along this bucolic path in Altamont Gardens.

The perfect spot for a seaside promenade in Tramore.

Switchback mountain (aka Sauk Mountain). This trail was a nightmare right out of a Stephen King novel. I have never encountered so many biting flies in my life; they nearly ate me alive.

Pretty but hazardous path through a snowy New York park – it turned into the fireswamp scene from the Princess Bride, I was lucky to make it out in one piece.
