Travel theme: Balance

All around me friends are struggling to find a healthy work-life balance, while the planet is wobbling ever further out of balance at an alarming rate. So, to restore a semblance of balance into somewhat precarious times, here are a few zen-like, restorative photos to calm things down. First up, a rather talented yoga practitioner at a mass group yoga session in Times Square for the Summer Solstice.  Nice one, New York.

The hungry world cannot be fed until and unless the growth of its resources and the growth of its population come into balance. Each man and woman – and each nation  – must make decisions of conscience and policy in the face of this great problem. – Lyndon B. Johnson

About ailsapm

Hi there! I’m Ailsa Prideaux-Mooney. I’ve lived in many places, and travelled to many more. I had a lot of fun getting there and being there, wherever there happened to be at the time. I climbed a castle wall in Czesky Krumlov, abseiled down cliffs to go caving in the west of Ireland, slept on the beach in Paros, got chased by a swarm of bees in Vourvourou (ok that wasn’t fun, but it was exciting), learned flower arranging in Tokyo, found myself in the middle of a riot in Seoul, learned to snowboard in Salzburg, got lost in a labyrinth in Budapest and had my ice cream stolen by a gull in Cornwall. And I’m just getting started. If you’ve enjoyed what you’ve read so far, I’d love you to follow my travelogue - wheresmybackpack.com - and remember, anyone who tries to tell you it’s a small world hasn’t tried to see it all.

  4. I am staring at that yoga practitioner in absolute awe, Ailsa. Such balance and control. The girl on the tightrope is adorable, as is the squirrel. Tai Chi is all about balance too, so excellent choices, dear.

I love your ice skating theme, great take on the theme, Marion, it’s definitely all about balance, I love ice skating but I remember as a kid when I was just starting out it felt like I’d never get the hang of it. 🙂

Great theme, we certainly need more balance in this world. As I watched these identical twins perform it was like looking in a mirror they were so balanced. https://memoriesaremadeofthisblog.wordpress.com/2016/04/09/travel-theme-balance/
