Gale force winds are making for some rough weather in my little corner of the world, so to calm things down, I’m perusing some of the smoother photos I’ve taken on my travels. The smooth, glassy structures surrounding New York’s 9/11 Memorial reflect the sky so perfectly they almost disappear.
The smoothest lake I have ever seen was Lake Atitlan in Guatemala. The surface was like a mirror of turquoise, until our little boat kicked up spray and sent ripples scudding towards a distant volcano.
The rose sellers of Rome were some seriously smooth operators; what girl doesn’t love flowers?
Highly polished stone decorated with an adorable Kokopelli, one of many artworks on sale near Canyon de Chelly.
Man and his best friend spending quality time together on the still waters of the Cle Elum river in Washington.
The smooth metallic tunnels of the train station in New Haven, CT, wouldn’t look out of place on the set of a Star Trek episode.
Hopefully I’ve smoothed the way for your interpretation of this week’s theme. If you would like to join in (everyone’s welcome!) here’s what to do:
- Create your own post and title it Travel theme: Smooth
