Travel theme: Couples

Watching the sun set along the Oregon Coast I saw a couple walking hand in hand along the beach.

A little later, watching the same sun set a few miles further along the coast, I watched a couple of children walk along the shore, the little boy reaching for the girl’s hand.

It seemed to be the perfect theme for this week, so I went rummaging through my photos for other couples I have photographed. Here’s what I came up with:

Now over to you. If you’d like to join in this week’s travel theme, here’s what to do:

  • Create your own post featuring couples and title it Travel Theme: Couples
  • Include a link to this page in your post so others can find it too
  • Get your post in by next Thursday, as the new travel theme comes out on Friday
  • Don’t forget to subscribe to keep up to date on the latest weekly travel themes

I can’t wait to see your daring duos, your perfect pairs and your terrible twins.

About ailsapm

Hi there! I’m Ailsa Prideaux-Mooney. I’ve lived in many places, and travelled to many more. I had a lot of fun getting there and being there, wherever there happened to be at the time. I climbed a castle wall in Czesky Krumlov, abseiled down cliffs to go caving in the west of Ireland, slept on the beach in Paros, got chased by a swarm of bees in Vourvourou (ok that wasn’t fun, but it was exciting), learned flower arranging in Tokyo, found myself in the middle of a riot in Seoul, learned to snowboard in Salzburg, got lost in a labyrinth in Budapest and had my ice cream stolen by a gull in Cornwall. And I’m just getting started. If you’ve enjoyed what you’ve read so far, I’d love you to follow my travelogue - wheresmybackpack.com - and remember, anyone who tries to tell you it’s a small world hasn’t tried to see it all.

G’day Ailsa another great theme. I’m getting in quick before we get on the train. We have such colourful and friendly birds in Aus…

    • ailsapm says:

Ooh, they really are rainbow-coloured, aren’t they, pommepal? I love how gentle they are with one another, really enjoyed your post. xxx

      • pommepal says:

Thank you Ailsa for the comment, they are gentle with their partner but can be very aggresive if any other birds invade their territory

  33. Lovely pics, Ailsa!! Usually I only *love* nature/animal pics, but given that the beach and romance was involved in the first two, I loved them all!! I’m gonna wait a day or so on this one, it’ll take some digging…but I would really love for you to check out this week’s Pictorial Highlight of mine on Red Rock Canyon State Park (shades of Utah in California!!), I like this one and it has some really cool pics of an owl and a nice little “travelogue” blurb about finding them =) http://therewildwest.wordpress.com/2012/10/18/pictorial-highlight-red-rock-canyon-state-park/

This is a fabulous theme, Ailsa! Your parrots and flamingos are simply stunning photographs. I am really looking forward to seeing the interpretations from your followers. In keeping with your travel focus, my contribution includes pics taken in Hong Kong, Toronto, Edmonton, Melbourne, Williamstown, Fitzroy, Separation Creek, Byron Bay and Adelaide. Oh, and it includes some musings about the urge to merge. I really enjoyed compiling this collection, so thanks heaps for suggesting this theme 🙂
