It is said that getting there is half the fun … or at least it used to be before the advent of budget airlines. I’ve flown many an airline…
…but when time is not of the essence, I will always opt for a slower form of transport, to enjoy more of the ‘getting there’ … like travelling across the US on the Lake Shore Limited and the Empire Builder …
… or boating across Lake Atitlan …
… or even hitching a ride on horseback up Volcan de Pacaya.
Then there’s always the car…
… and the trusty bicycle …
… but for the ultimate in eco-friendly transportation options, I prefer these.
