Nearby mountains have this week emerged snow-capped from the cold fogs of recent days, filling me with anticipation of a winter wonderland. So you can see where this week’s inspiration is coming from. However, I’m choosing ‘snowy’ rather than ‘snow’ because down in the southern hemisphere snow will be very far away, so ‘snowy’ is open to all kinds of interpretations, like this snowy show-off in New York.
…or this alabaster trickster in Rome – the king of satire, Pasquino, who was very far from ‘armless.
And of course, there are those hardy little snowdrops that brave the late winter cold to delight with their bobbing heads.
And one final shot, of the snowiest of things, which would of course be snow. This is the lovely Tipsoo Lake, high up on Chinook Pass, near Mount Rainier and Crystal Mountain.
I have tried to resist making at least one terrible pun, but there was snow way that was going to happen. Quick, before I think of another one, get cracking on your own interpretation of this week’s theme. If you would like to join in (everyone’s welcome!) here’s what to do:
- Create your own nost and title it Travel theme: Snowy
- Include a link to this page in your post so others can find it too
- Get your post in by next Thursday, as the new travel theme comes out on Friday
