When I was exploring Charleston, South Carolina earlier this week, my friend and I took a wrong turn and ended up in what looked like an overgrown garden. As we tried to find our way back to the street, we spotted this hidden graveyard peeping out through the lush foliage.
Still in South Carolina, boating through a swamp, there were a couple of hidden onlookers skulking off in the distance.
I was thrilled to discover a hidden bamboo forest in Rye, New York.
And finally, a piece of the Berlin Wall hiding in plain sight in the middle of Manhattan.
Now over to you for your stealthiest, undercover photos. If you would like to join in this week’s travel theme (everyone’s welcome!) here’s what to do:
- Create your own post and title it Travel theme: Hidden
- Include a link to this page in your post so others can find it too
- Get your post in by next Thursday, as the new travel theme comes out on Friday
- Don’t forget to subscribe to keep up to date on the latest weekly travel themes. Sign up via the email subscription link in the sidebar or RSS – I’m in the process of changing over to a new website host but will give you all a heads up when the changeover happens. If you’re following via email there won’t be a change but if you’re following via WordPress you will need to sign up for email or RSS.
Can’t wait to see what you reveal for this week’s challenge.

“Everybody has a world, and that world is completely hidden until we begin to inquire. As soon as we do, that entire world opens to us and yields itself. And you see how full and complex it is.” – David Guterson
