I’ve been trying, unsuccessfully, to unclutter my surroundings. I am admitting defeat and am instead looking to my travel photos for inspiration, starting off with this very orderly spice display at a bazaar in Turkey.
Still in Turkey, silk cocoons bob and cluster into neat little groups in boiling water.
Formal hedging makes everything seem so well-groomed at Altamont Gardens in Carlow.
Rows of neatly stacked boxes line Methow Valley roads ready for the apple harvest.
Marching bands in New York‘s St. Patrick’s Day Parade in orderly rows and matching uniforms.
So cut through the clutter with your own version of this week’s theme. If you would like to join in (everyone’s welcome!) here’s what to do:
- Create your own post and title it Travel theme: Tidy
- Include a link to this page in your post so others can find it too
- Watch out for the next travel theme which will come out next weekend
- Don’t forget to subscribe to keep up to date on the latest weekly travel themes. Sign up via the email subscription link in the sidebar or RSS.

Be careless in your dress if you must, but keep a tidy soul. – Mark Twain
The world does not have tidy endings. The world does not have neat connections. It is not filled with epiphanies that work perfectly at the moment that you need them. – Dennis Lehane
