Hi there! I’m Ailsa Prideaux-Mooney. I’ve lived in many places, and travelled to many more. I had a lot of fun getting there and being there, wherever there happened to be at the time. I climbed a castle wall in Czesky Krumlov, abseiled down cliffs to go caving in the west of Ireland, slept on the beach in Paros, got chased by a swarm of bees in Vourvourou (ok that wasn’t fun, but it was exciting), learned flower arranging in Tokyo, found myself in the middle of a riot in Seoul, learned to snowboard in Salzburg, got lost in a labyrinth in Budapest and had my ice cream stolen by a gull in Cornwall.
And I’m just getting started.
If you’ve enjoyed what you’ve read so far, I’d love you to follow my travelogue. Remember, anyone who tries to tell you it’s a small world hasn’t tried to see it all.

Ditto the ice cream stealing gull in Cornwall, experience. You have to be so careful around those birds! I moved to Cornwall from the US after marrying a Brit over four years ago and love being able to be so close to the sea despite those flying rodents.
Your travels are really inspiring!
Hey there Ailsa! I just checked out your blog and wanted to say, “Hi.” Your about page is awesome! What a fun, exciting life you live – I’m jealous! I’ve done a little traveling, but not much. I like the idea of traveling but… Anyway, great blog here!
Hi, I have nominated you for the Beautiful Blogger Award. I think you deserve it, but just like the person who nominated me said, no pressure to accept. 🙂 The link to the article: http://petalsandraindrops.wordpress.com/2013/04/10/846/

Reading your recent Travel Theme: Light, I followed your link to Howth Head, a post from way back when you began you blog. The quality of your posts appears to have remained consistently high and I really enjoyed the Howth one, but comments now seem to be off so I came here.
My Dad was born just outside Dublin, but spent most his adult life in England. He often spoke of childhood adventures near Howth, back in the 1930/40s. In the 1980’s we backpacked together and camped on Bray Head, just down from the summit, with the farmer’s permission. Your photos of Howth brought back memories of the landscape, as Bray is just the other side of Dublin Bay really and even nearer to Sugarloaf mountain. Thanks for the lovely reminder.
Oh GrowlTigger, thank you so much for sharing that wonderful memory, I’m glad my post on Howth reminded you of it. I know Bray Head and the Sugarloaf well and will make a point of going for a wander there with my camera next time I’m back home. Oh, and sorry about the horribly late response, this year has been a whirl of activity (and a liberal dash of travel too!) xxx Ailsa

Ah, I see you already have a few awards and – guess what? – now you’ve got another. I’ve just been given my first award, a Versatile Blogger, and you’re one of the 15 I chose to pass it on to: http://pomsawaydownunder.wordpress.com/2013/05/24/the-versatile-blogger-award/
Those pesky gulls in Cornwall. They had part of my pasty once when I was sat on the harbour wall at St Michael’s Mount.
Haha, what a great visual, Ray, those gulls have got food snatching down to a fine art! 🙂
I’ve got to say I really enjoyed your blog. When I visit most blogs I’m gone within a few minutes. But yours, well I got lost enjoying the pictures and content. Will be back.
Yaay, what a lovely thing to say, archecotech, so glad you enjoyed your visit – sorry it’s taken me so long to respond, I’ve been on the road an awful lot this year… On the positive side, it means I have an awful lot to write about too. 🙂
Cute avatar 😉
Thanks Global, I see we’re kindred spirits 😉

I too have been to Czesky Krumlov! What a lovely set of reflections.
I do believe it’s one of the most magical places I’ve visited. I’m sure it was a combination of the people I went with and the circumstances under which we traveled, but it is such a wonderful memory I almost don’t want to revisit for fear that it won’t live up to my memory of it. xxx
Just stumbled across your blog! You have so many tales! I think I’ll be back to read plenty more… 🙂
Thanks Carl, hope you find your way back sometime soon – sorry for the late response, I’ve been working my way through a serious backlog of comments, it can get pretty busy round here! 🙂

I couldn’t agree more about your comment that it is NOT a small world. The more of it I see, the more places I want to discover. Then of course there are the places I want to go back to and re-experience again. So much to see and do, so little time and money 🙂
