Travel theme: Multiples

When I was going through the photos of my trip from Bryce Canyon to Coral Pink Sand Dunes I found a shot I forgot I had taken at the Rock Stop. It was of a shelf of votive candle holders; I just loved how they looked en masse.

So I had a look through my files and found some other instances when I filled my frame with multiples of the same object and here’s what I came up with. First, a burst of spring in Central Park with a drift of creamy tulips.

A mound of Rambutan at a market stall in Hawaii made me do a double-take, then reach for my camera.

A stack of ornate pocket mirrors sparkling on the streets of Little India in Jackson Heights, Queens.

And finally, if you ate enough of these, you would almost certainly develop multiple cavities.

About ailsapm

Hi there! I’m Ailsa Prideaux-Mooney. I’ve lived in many places, and travelled to many more. I had a lot of fun getting there and being there, wherever there happened to be at the time. I climbed a castle wall in Czesky Krumlov, abseiled down cliffs to go caving in the west of Ireland, slept on the beach in Paros, got chased by a swarm of bees in Vourvourou (ok that wasn’t fun, but it was exciting), learned flower arranging in Tokyo, found myself in the middle of a riot in Seoul, learned to snowboard in Salzburg, got lost in a labyrinth in Budapest and had my ice cream stolen by a gull in Cornwall. And I’m just getting started. If you’ve enjoyed what you’ve read so far, I’d love you to follow my travelogue - wheresmybackpack.com - and remember, anyone who tries to tell you it’s a small world hasn’t tried to see it all.

Multiple likes and comments Ailsa for this larger than life post. Thanks for the reminder that out of frame is a great way to make a photo have impact – my multiples were rather constrained by comparison
