Watching the sun set along the Oregon Coast I saw a couple walking hand in hand along the beach.
A little later, watching the same sun set a few miles further along the coast, I watched a couple of children walk along the shore, the little boy reaching for the girl’s hand.
It seemed to be the perfect theme for this week, so I went rummaging through my photos for other couples I have photographed. Here’s what I came up with:
Now over to you. If you’d like to join in this week’s travel theme, here’s what to do:
- Create your own post featuring couples and title it Travel Theme: Couples
- Include a link to this page in your post so others can find it too
- Get your post in by next Thursday, as the new travel theme comes out on Friday
- Don’t forget to subscribe to keep up to date on the latest weekly travel themes
I can’t wait to see your daring duos, your perfect pairs and your terrible twins.

Finally got mine up. Some “different” takes on the theme, I think–my own broad interpretation =) Hope ya’ll enjoy!

Ô les perroquets…. Ils sont magnifiques !
Ok, I believe that “perroquets” are parrots in English, but who cares if I can’t spell in English, it’s not my language… They are just magnificent…

so inspirational Ailsa – the light and silhouettes of the beach shots are like liquid mercury. The last couple are intriguing

Love the parrot colors! My entry is a couple of shorebirds with cool-looking orange beaks: http://wp.me/pOicG-7N
These are all wonderful images of couples – the flamingoes and little sculptures are my favorites, I think.
This past weekend was Soup Day, so I’m still reorganizing my house and catching up. Unfortunately, I don’t have time to find the photos want – so instead I’ll share a previous post that has some really cute couples in it!
Hope you enjoy – and I’ll try to do better next week! 😉

Hi Ailsa
a couple of furry animal friends…. 🙂 from a previous post that can be found here..
Hi Ailsa,
Here’s my response to this week’s challenge. Thanks again for the inspiration.
Bummer. Here it is the end of the week, and I have not one single couple. 🙂 There must be SOMETHING in my gazillion photos that would fit this theme. I reckon I just let myself get all lazy. I’ll go make peanut butter cookies and go over photos in my mind. As some famous person once said somewhere about something to someone, “I’ll be back.”

Since I couldn’t quickly find any travel theme with couples, I did a time travel instead:

TWO TO TANGO :
Pairs, Couples, Twins, Partners…..
when they move in pairs, hunt in pairs, dance in pairs, sing in pairs, run in pairs, play in pairs…. they add so much more.
Here I include some interesting captures apart from selections from my favourite dancers in pairs, that run in thousands!
These are great shots. I believe I like the one with the adult male couple best. Great job.
I love your blog.. I put you on my blogroll! Will join the next travel theme.
Another good theme, although it can be tough to catch a single couple in a shot, I did manage a few pictures to contribute

I’ll have to check to see if I have any pairs. I’ll get back with you. BUT thanks for stopping by my blog.
Nice twins and a great photo shooting theme. I’ll have to give it a go one of these days.
