It’s getting all autumnal up here in the northern hemisphere, while down in the southern hemisphere everyone’s looking forward to spring. Whichever hemisphere you inhabit, now is a fantastic time to get out and have a look at what the trees are doing. Whether they’re about to burst into life with fresh green growth, or starting to adorn themselves in their autumn glory; even if they’re still wearing their evergreen needles, it’s a wonderful time to go leaf peeping. Here are a few photos I’ve taken that let foliage take centre stage.
The leafy entrance to the Moongate Garden; part of the Edith B. Haupt Gardens in Washington DC.
Bird-filled branches in Snug Harbor on New York’s Staten Island.
Leafy trees casting long shadows as the sun sets over the hills of northern California.
And last, but not least, a lovely array of leaves peeping over a wall in Antigua, Guatemala.
So get your best foliage photos out and celebrate leaves. If you’d like to join in, create your own post and call it Travel Theme: Foliage. Put a link to this page in your post so others can find it.
Don’t forget to subscribe to keep up to date on the latest weekly travel themes.
Happy leaf peeping!
xxx Ailsa

Love these photos – and these travel themes. Here’s my take on this week’s:
Ooh, all lovely shots, LubbyGirl, but that last one of the grapes is fabulous! xxx
Those grapes were interesting…just on the verge of total demise, but still had some sweetness left. I was a good girl, though, and didn’t pick them, since I wasn’t invited by the owner to help myself. 🙂
